IEP compliance reviews and training for school districts

For Special Education Directors

Find out where your IEPs stand before a parent complaint or state monitoring visit does.

Confidential, de-identified, and built around your district's own files. Each review checks a sample of your IEPs, chosen with you, against 30 federal IDEA requirements. State rules are flagged for your team to verify. Every review ends with a clear action plan.

The process

How a review works

Four simple steps, and about 1–2 hours of your team's time.

Sign a short services agreement and a student data privacy agreement.

2. Send

Your team picks a random sample of your IEPs, removes identifying information, and uploads them securely.

3. Review

Each IEP is checked against 30 federal IDEA requirements, with state rules flagged for your team to verify

4. Debrief

Within 14 days, you receive a findings report and a 45-minute debrief with a clear action plan.

BCIEP · BCASE · K–12 Reading Specialist

I'm a special education case manager with 16 years in K–12 education, as a classroom teacher, a reading instruction coach, and now writing and managing IEPs every week. I'm Board Certified in IEP Development through the National Association of Special Education Teachers.

I started EmpowerED because most IEP gaps aren't about effort. They come from forms, habits, and turnover, and they're very fixable once you can see the pattern.
